Having read the blurb, I was expecting something along the lines of the The Diary of Anne Frank.
This is the story of the people who hid the Jews. A family of faith who were willing to suffer to help their fellow man regardless of race or nationality.
After reading "The Hiding Place" I felt that Corrie's faith was very simple and at times almost childlike. She was strongly influenced and shaped by her father and brother. She never married, lived and worked in the family home/business until the /German occupation of the Netherlands. Through her active church life and love of people she quickly became a link in the resistance movement.
Imprisonment, interrogation, loss of family member and surviving concentration camps to return to her small town in Holland to minister to and heal the post war survivors.
If Roman Catholic, she most like would be a nominee for sainthood. As a Protestant, she is simply a legend and respected.
